1 Timothy 2:1-4
First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
This morning I lift up our governmental leaders and ask that your protection be over their minds, bodies and spirits. Lord send godly counsel to them and bind the lips of deceitful counsel. Let your will be done at the highest level of our city, state and national legislative offices. Speak into their hearts and the hearts of their families. Let them bring just laws to the ultimate benefit and betterment of the people you called them to serve!
Bless them and their households as they do good for the people they are called to serve. Give them encounters with you Lord, that they would incline their ears to hear your wisdom from the very throne room of heaven. Guide them in all areas of their lives and let their very lives bring honor and glory to you Lord, that you might be lifted high in this nation. Let us not be a reproach Lord but a benefit to all with whom we connect.
Create alignments that benefit the entire world and not just our nation. Restore us to the leadership you originally intended for us. Bring us back to your original plan through the leadership and authorities you have placed in office all over this great nation! Create in our government a desire to prosper all and not just a few. Strengthen our allies and expose those that are false and intended deceit.
Let your angel armies bring confusion into the enemies camps and expose any plans of destruction by the enemy so that they will not succeed. Let our nation be a refuge for the oppressed so that they may live your freedom but let not the wicked who seek to destroy her from the inside gain entrance. Lord be a wall of fire around this country and our people. Let your justice be seen in this country. Let your glory shine through!
Lord I thank you for hearing our prayers this morning and for granting our petitions. In the mighty name of Jesus
